What type of braces do you offer?

We offer our patients Six Month Smiles, which is a form of braces that provide straighter smiles in as little as four months or as long as nine months. Six Month Smiles uses discrete, clear brackets to quickly straighten the teeth with little effort. Six Month Smiles is a great way to straighten the front teeth to help improve the look of your smile, without affecting your jaw or the way you bite.

Who should get Six Month Smiles braces?

The Six Month Smiles braces are for adults who have their permanent anterior teeth. They want their front teeth (the teeth that are most visible when they smile) straightened, but they don’t want to have to wear uncomfortable traditional braces for up to three years. If your bite is fine and you have no other oral conditions, you may not need expensive, traditional orthodontic work. If you just want to improve the look of your smile, we recommend these braces. For our patients under 18 years of age, we recommend that they visit an orthodontist to discuss their options, and we will gladly refer you to a great one in the area.

What can I expect?

You can expect a straighter smile in less than nine months without the costs of porcelain veneers, traditional braces, or alignment therapy. The process uses clear brackets and tooth colored or clear wires so that you can straighten your teeth without fear of people seeing them when you smile.

Are there any alternatives to Six Month Smiles?

Yes, there are. If your front teeth are discolored or decayed as well as misaligned, and you would like to improve the look of your teeth, we would recommend veneers or crowns rather than braces. If your front teeth are misaligned, but perfect otherwise, Six Month Smiles is for you.

As always, comprehensive orthodontics is a great option as well. However, many adults do not want to have braces for 2-3 years.
